the cross: where mercy shows its strength
Why do we cry, “This is not the way it should be,” when faced with evil and injustice? Perhaps because the world was created good. Though humanity turned away from God, His mercy did not turn away from us. Revealed most fully through Christ on the cross, that mercy has the power to transform hearts, overcome hatred, and lead us to trust the One who will ultimately bring justice and truth.

Pregnant with joy
After heartbreak once led me to paint a canvas entirely black, this time I express sorrow through vivid colors, inspired by Jesus’ words: “Your sorrow will turn into joy.” Though facing deep suffering before the cross, Jesus encouraged His disciples and showed through His resurrection that sorrow can become joy. Pregnant with Joy draws on the image of childbirth—pain giving way to joy—and reflects the hope of restored relationship with God and a joy that cannot be taken away.

danger of giving
The blog reflects on Jesus’ sacrificial love shown on the cross and what it means to live for Him. The author shares a journey from passionate faith and mission work to burnout, hurt, and resentment from being taken advantage of in ministry. Through struggle, they rediscover that following Christ means dying to pride and unforgiveness, not just serving others. The message encourages choosing to look to Christ for healing and renewal, receiving His love so we can give again without resentment.
