I grew up in a non-Christian home and left Japan when I was 9, living in several different countries, including Canada, the US, and China. I’m grateful for the experiences, relationships, and skills I gained along the way, but at the core of my being, I’ve always longed for a place where I could truly belong—a place to define my identity. There was a deep void in my heart, as I once believed that I was simply a product of ‘mere accident.’ Having become extremely shy after moving overseas, I felt that whether I was here or not, the world would go on, and I would have little lasting impact.

That sense of helplessness disappeared when I encountered Christ. Just as we would never believe an artwork was created by accident, we understand that every piece has an artist behind it, one who poured time and effort into its creation. Similarly, I came to realize that there is a Creator God who intricately and uniquely formed me, with profound purpose. This revelation sparked a deep passion in me to express His beauty through the gifts He has entrusted to me—music and art.
